I switched from a Fitbit to the Samsung Watch after my Fitbit simply kept having connectivity issues. I really liked it and had a few of them over the years. But I will say the Samsung Watch is much nicer overall, except for the battery life. I knew the battery life was a known issue prior to buying it however, but I always put my watches on the charger when showering. So it hasn't been a huge problem, but I only get maybe around 25-26hrs in total before it shuts off. As far as the functionality, it does pretty much as you would expect from a mainstream smart watch. Tons of apps, tracking, push notifications, watch faces, etc. You can also easily make custom faces using any photos, and adjust the type of data the face displays. The dial also spins and allows you to scroll through varies menu's. Tapping, swiping and the side buttons also give some extra ways to interact with it. And as mentioned it supports push notifications, so like most watches all you have to do it flip your wrist up to see message, answer phone calls etc. It even has full texting capability with it's tiny keyboard. Although... that's not something you are probably going to use a lot. Charging wise it charges pretty quickly, so that at least helps balance out the battery issue.
Im a Afib patient, so its essential for me to keep track on my heart beat. It has an EKG app that can detect these kind of scenarios.
It also meassures my daily activities, sleep score, find my phone and other cool features.
I like to follow up with my body and its the main reason I acquired this device
Very much like my older watch that died. Battery charge seems to hold quite well. Ran down fast while setting it up and thought not very good Battery. But lasts over a day without recharge. Not a big app user, nor do I wear it to bed. My biggest con, is that it doesn't have nearly as many watchface options as my old watch had. Had to settle for a stodgy watchface that held most of info I wanted, with none of the pizzazz my old watch had. Not as happy with this "advanced" edition. Expected some real advancement, and disappointed with the reality. Actually thought of going back to my old Casio watch. But it serves for now. Can't give it more than 4 stars, but works, after a fashion, so more than 3 stars.
Love the size of the watch. I enjoy the watch letting me know it is time to walk!!!
