Very Quiet. Sound is low-pitched and relatively muted. More "pleasing" sound than my Yamaha 1000 inverter. Heavy due to sound insulation and large gas tank---but a worthwhile trade-off.
Wow!, I can't say anything bad about my EU3000 Honda Generator. I've own my Honda Generator since 2007. Also, this generator has been so reliable year after year. Even after all these years, it's still really quite (57db). Never had any issues starting it. The only thing that went bad is the small battery it uses (Yuasa YTX9-BS).
I drive a diesel pickup and one year @ NASCAR; I accidently poured Diesel gas into the EU3000 Honda Generator gas tank. Ater I noticed what I did, I stop trying to start it. Generator will hesitate to start but once it start, It'll start smoking a lot. Once I got home and I drained the diesel gas out of the tank and left the cap open and let it air out for @ least 1hr. I followed with a tune up. next, I added regular gas. Generator started right up and I let it run for 45-60 mins. Never had issues till this day (2022)
I would recommend this EU3000 Honda Generator any day.

The item arrived in slightly scratched up condition which appeared to have happened inside the intact factory packaging box. I was disappointed since this is a very expensive generator but after informing the seller, they promptly contacted me with an offer of compensation. Good result and happy with the generator. Handles 3000 watts easily but runs a long time at lower loads and QUIETLY!
This is a very heavy unit. It needs two people to lift. Probably how the delivery guy dropped and damaged it, too heavy. You need to add wheels for one person to move it, but it would still require two people to lift into the back of a pickup truck. So with it being so heavy, it is not maneuverable hardly at all. It is pretty quite and runs well.
